The New Boston Fire Department is located in Scioto County, Ohio and serves the citizens of New Boston. New Boston was incorporated in 1906 and we had Volunteer Firefighters' at that time. We first became a full time paid Fire Department in 1921. We are a full time professional fire organization and we operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We serve a community of around 2300 residents with a day time population between 10,000 to 12,000 people that work, shop, and travel through the Village. We response to all fire calls within the Village and give assistance in traffic accidents where we are trained in vehicle extractions with the jaws of life. |
